We had a pregnancy mini session with the gorgeously pregnant Erin of Austin Baby. We can’t wait to welcome her new baby, in the meantime, we are thrilled to capture the radiant beauty of her baby in the hatch. Just love her little boy’s tenderness with his mom in these images.

We are over the moon that our favorite pediatrician, Dr. Jerry Hudson of Bee Caves Pediatrics has a gallery of our fine art newborn, baby and children’s photography. The gallery samples our fine art photographic gallery mounts. The staff has had nothing but raves for this gallery!

Austin Baby Photography : The green musketeer

Ellis really laps up the green smoothies we have been fixin’ lately. Half leafy greens (kale, spinach, chard and the like) and half fruit, blend to satisfaction and slurp away. Yes it does have a swampy consistency, but Ellis laps it up and we get our veggies in quite readily. We continue to be inspired by Weelicious, who is the master of healthy homemade baby food.

What do you get when you combine a gorgeous Austin morning with two energetic families on Town Lake? We had a killer photo session with Angela and Erin and their families today! Their little ones love to play together all the time, what can’t you do with dirt, leaves and sticks?
We were thrilled to sneak in a few pregnancy portraits of Erin, who is just glowingly 7 1/2 months pregnant!
Angela and Erin are the owners of Austin Baby, the premier Austin boutique for natural parenting resources. We are excited that they will soon be moving to a spanking new location on Lamar in the near future. Look for our gallery prints in their new location!

Austin + Los Angeles baby photography: A year to always remember

Ellis is a year old. What an amazingly transforming year. Take a peak at Ellis’ slideshow (click on the image to start the show, and turn up the volume). Words cannot even approach what transpires in a baby’s first year of life, for both baby and newborn parents. It is a year that is dizzying, blissful, expanding, heartening, exhausting, rattling, euphoric, mundane and mindbending. Thank goodness for photography and video. For when we surfaced from the fatigue, we relish and relive those fleeting baby moments in every frame. We learned too quickly that we needed help to document those tender baby glances and grins, and had the help of three phenomenal professional photographers: Pinkletoes in Austin, Texas, Desiree Durang Photography (photo credit: image 3) and Jennifer Wilson Photography (photo credit: image 19) in Los Angeles, California.
We now know too well, not to delay the heart instinct to schedule a photo session, because in two blinks that baby stage will change.
